The Rev. Dr. Caleb J. Lines is a public theologian and ordained minister in the Progressive Christian Alliance. He currently serves as the Co-Executive Director of The Center for Progressive Christianity and Co-Host of “The Moonshine Jesus Show.” He has a passion for pursuing social justice for the marginalized, demonstrating the Good News of God’s radically inclusive love, and proclaiming a relevant message for today’s ever-changing world. 

Caleb’s views on the intersection of religion and public life have been featured in diverse local, national, and international publications.  He is also a prolific social media content creator, with over 850,000 followers across platforms. He currently serves on the national boards of The Center for Progressive Christianity, Jubilee USA Network, and the Progressive Christian Alliance. He is on the advisory board for LOVEboldly. Caleb has served churches and nonprofits in California, Missouri, Connecticut, and Washington, D.C.

Caleb is also an award-winning author. His devotional Awakened: A 52-Week Progressive Christian Devotional (Chalice, 2024) was named the best devotional in 2025 by the Illumination Book Awards and was a Next Generation Indie Book Award Finalist (the Indies are the largest international awards program for indie authors). The Great Digital Commission: Embracing Social Media for Church Growth and Transformation (Cascade Books, 2021), received an Illumination Book Award Silver Medal. Both books reached #1 on the Amazon new release list in their respective categories.
